More temple open houses and dedications are planned across Utah. The temples to be built in Lehi and West Jordan, Utah, were announced just weeks ago during the Church's April conference. The temple will hold its dedication in two session on Sunday, June 2, with Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles conducting the ceremony.

The third ordinance rezoned the temple property from Single Family Residential to Site Specific Development – Institutional – Temple. The resolution approved a development agreement with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for construction of the temple. The public open house will run from Saturday, April 13, through Saturday, May 18, excluding Sundays. One of the focal points of the temple is its single octagonal tower. Its ornamental structure with stained glass detailing and is designed to create a spiritually uplifting atmosphere within the temple. The temple's layout includes four instruction rooms used for the endowment ceremony, four sealing rooms, and a baptistry, each designed for specific ceremonial functions. The three will be dedicated on successive Sundays in June — the Taylorsville temple on June 2, the Cobán temple on June 9 and the Salta temple on June 16. A media day is scheduled for Monday, April 22, with invited guests to visit the temple Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23-24. After a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is built or has undergone an extensive renovation, it is opened for public tours prior to being dedicated or rededicated.
